I have just watched a presentation on a JISC funded project. It's a searchable database of web sites and resources that have been reviewed and classified for use as valid research. It's actually quite good the URL is http://www.intute.ac.uk/ it's worth a look for any subject.

My college merged with another at the start of the college year my advice to any lecturers who see this scenario occurring is its not going to be a pleasant experience. I can't go into detail for obvious reasons.
