Q: I never got an activation SMS!
A: Please head over to the forgot password page and click on
the send activation code link to get another SMS sent to your phone. If the problem
persists, please send email to support@cellspin.net
Q: How do I get the mobile software?
A: When you initially sign up with us, you will receive an SMS on your phone with a link
to download the software unless you have an unsupported phone (Other Phone). You can
also get a link to the software from the account tab of your profile.
Q: Which sites are supported?
A: Please view our supported sites page.
Q: What if I don't have an account with one of the supported sites?
A: Not a problem. You will have your own cellspin profile. However, if you wish to
post your media to other sites we support, you will need go to create an account
with the site(s) you would like to join and then add them as a publisher in your account.
Q: Which phones are supported?
A: Please view our supported phones page.
Q: Can I still use CellSpin if I do not have a supported phone?
A: Those who don't have one of the supported phones can still use the
CellSpin service worldwide by sending their pictures, text, video, or
voice from their mobile phones via SMS, MMS or Email to go@cellspin.net
and immediately the multimedia content can be posted to their
Facebook and MySpace pages as well.
Q: How do I upload media using mobile email?
A: By sending us a message with the media you would like to upload to go@cellspin.net.
You have two options: 1.) You must add an email address in your CellSpin account
under the "basic info" tab and use that email when sending media or 2.) Send via
an mms or mobile email.
Q: How do I add sites to send media to supported sites?
A: Login to your Cellspin account and click on the "sites" tab. Enter in your
account details for your publishers. You then can either use our software or your
CellSpin profile to post media to a supported site.
Q: Which media formats do you support?
A: Photo, Text, Video and Audio. To which sites support what media types, please see
the supported sites page.
Q: Is there an age restriction?
A: You must be at least 13 years of age and have the conscent of your parent or guardian.
Q: Can I save the content on my phone after it uploads?
A: Yes. The content is automatically saved to your phone. For photos or videos look
in the "My Photos" or "My Videos" in the "My Documents" Folder on your phone. For
audio or text content look in the "CellSpin folder."
Q: Can I send it to multiple sites at the same time?
A: Yes, by using the CellSpin software and by selecting multiple publishers on the
post screen. We currently do not support multiple posts via mobile email.
Q: Why do some uploads take longer than others?
A: It depends on the media you are sending. Text files are much smaller than video
or image files. If the data connection of your mobile is low, this also could cause
a delay in your posting.
Q: Is there a limit to how much I can post? How large is my storage space?
A: There currently is no storage limit to your account.
Q: Will I get charged for the SMS?
A: CellSpin will not charge you, but your wireless network may charge
you for a standard sms.
Q: Can I make my uploads private or friends only?
A: Yes.
Q: Will your software be supporting more phones in the future?
A: Yes. Please keep a look out for new phones we support on the supported phones page.
